Spring 2017

18 Mar 2017

We're on the brink of opening the grass XC for the first time and it's already mid March....However, we've been busy prepping the fences with a complete re- birching of all the jumps courtesy of Dug and Luke. We've also replaced some ageing logs and fences showing signs of being past their use by date. All 3 Water jumps have been cleaned and topped up with fresh base grit. This Winter the all weather Loop has come in handy for those needing to get horses out for a brief spin on good footing rather than knee deep mud or slithery sodden grass. The Woodchip and grit mix surface seems to have worked well and we plan improvements and additions for next Winter. The livery yard is full to overflowing with a waitlist - very rewarding for Caroline and Matt who both work ultra hard to provide a happy place for riders and horses of all levels.

This Winter we've also worked on a 'Group Booking' feature on the website, so if you plan to organise a clinic, a Pony Club rally or Riding Club jamboree just get in touch via email so I can give you access to place provisional group bookings, and amend as many times as you need, without having to pay upfront.

Finally, we're hoping you've all noticed the Shepherd's Hut in the lorry park with self serve refreshments aka a bean to cup coffee machine (tea too!) and delicious cakes from Blakes Kitchen

This beautiful boy (Beijing), bought from Caroline Princz who is holding him, went from 5yo dressage horse to BE Novice in one season - she certainly has a good eye for a horse and a great source in Denmark! Keep bringing them over Caroline.
